Roof

Steel Frame
Steel is an excellent conductor of heat, which can lead to thermal bridging if not properly insulated. To minimise the effects of thermal bridging – and consequently reduce the risk of interstitial condensation – Insulation with high thermal performance should be used.
For new builds, high density insulation is typically fixed to the exterior of the steel frame, while the void between the steel studs is filled with flexible insulation. This approach keeps the steel frame warm, preventing thermal bridging and reducing the risk of interstitial condensation.
