Cooper Insulation have been involved in carrying out several large soffit insulation projects over the last number of years.
If your building has habitable rooms above an area exposed to the elements – like overhang, access route or carport- and the soffit below is uninsulated, this could be the reason.

These projects have been a combination of commercial and domestic projects where the client is looking to reduce cold air and draught rising from under the floors and from basements.
The process involves a high density insulated board being mechanically fitted to the underside of a slab using both steel and plastic fittings. All joints are taped and jointed when finished.
Apart from retaining heat upstairs, it also reduces thermal bridging and has a high thermal performance. Soffit Insulation has a Class O fire rating, which will benefit the client if they are looking to fireproof the building from the basement.
