Cellulose and Sheepwool are commonly requested as an eco friendly alternative. We specialise in fitting both products.

Natural Insulation:

Cooper Insulation provides eco friendly products for our clients in the greener environment. Both Cellulose and Sheepwool are becoming more common in Ireland as they have a unique combination of characteristics which help create a healthier, comfortable and energy efficient dwelling.

Cellulose Insulation

Cellulose Fibre is manufactured from recycled newsprint which is shredded to be suitable for installation by blowing. Controlled quantities of boric acid and other inorganic fire retardants are added during the manufacturing process. The source paper in its raw state is combustible.  However, during manufacturing, cellulose insulation is treated with borates, which are a Class I fire retardant.

Sheepwool Insulation

Sheepwool is a unique insulation which is made 100% of sheep wool combined with recycled fibres. Like Cellulose, it is a long lasting product which contributes to a healthier indoor environment.
