Both Cellulose and Sheep wool are becoming more common in Ireland as they have a unique combination of characteristics which help create a healthier, comfortable and energy efficient dwelling.
Cellulose Insulation
Cellulose Fibre is manufactured from recycled newsprint which is shredded to be suitable for installation by blowing. The source paper in its raw state is combustible. However, during manufacturing, cellulose insulation is treated with borates, which are a Class I fire retardant. See products here

Sheepwool Insulation
Sheep wool is a unique insulation which is made 100% of sheep wool combined with recycled fibres. Like Cellulose, it is a long lasting product which contributes to a healthier indoor environment. See products here
